ANZAC Day


ANZAC Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup plain flour
1 cup quick oats
1 cup desiccated coconut
3/4 cup brown sugar
125g butter
2 Tbsn golden syrup
2 Tbsn water
1 tsp baking soda

Method

1) Preheat the oven to 160°C. Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper.

2) In a large bowl, sift flour then stir in oats, coconut and brown sugar. 

3) Put butter, golden syrup and water into a small saucepan. Melt together over a medium heat. Add baking soda.

4) Mix together the wet and dry mixtures.

5) Roll into balls and place on baking tray. 

6) Bake for around 10minutes or until golden brown.

Mandarin

LZ3 do Mandarin each Thursday and Friday. They have been learning words for different sports, family, colours, foods, countries,counting numbers and greetings.

Here are some we learnt:
blue lan se
green lu se
yellow huang se
purple zi se
black hei se
orange cheng se
hello ni hao
dad ba ba
mum ma ma
big brother ge ge
big sister jie jie
little sister mei mei
little brother di di.

We also did some paper cutting to make the chinese symbol for 'Double Happiness'
